Document guides / Payment reminder
The payment reminder: ask again, nicely.
A payment reminder is a short, friendly notice that a balance is due. It shows the amount and how to pay, and by default thanks the client and asks them to disregard it if they have already paid.
When you would use a payment reminder.
An invoice just went past due
Most late payments are forgetfulness, not refusal.
Before a due date
A heads-up a few days ahead keeps you on the client's radar.
Repeat late payers
A consistent written reminder builds a record.
Before escalating
Send a reminder first. It shows you were fair if it goes further.
Top to bottom, what the page shows.

A pay link so they can settle it right away.
- Number prefix
- REM
- Signed by

Tips
- Keep the tone friendly on the first one.
- Include the pay link so there is nothing left to do but pay.
- State your late fee policy in the original invoice, not for the first time here.
