Same thing as markup

A 35% margin is a 54% markup. Mixing them up is the most common way contractors underprice.

04

Set your margin

Slide the target margin. Every line is priced from your cost up to that margin.

Everything it does.

Costs, not guesses

Templates start from typical US material and labor costs. Edit any of them and save your own.

Margin vs markup, solved

See both numbers side by side, so a 35% margin never gets mistaken for a 35% markup.

Labor, materials and services split

Each line knows what it is, so your reports show where the money goes.

Describe it in your own words

Prefer typing? Describe the job and get suggested line items to review and edit.

Works offline

Templates and calculators run on your phone, even with no signal on site.

Save your own

Turn any estimate into a reusable template for the jobs you do every week.

Good to know.

Are the template prices accurate for my area?
They are national averages meant as a starting point. Change any cost once and it is saved for next time.
What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit as a share of the price. Markup is profit as a share of your cost. A 50% markup is only a 33% margin. The builder shows both.
